New FDS Website

Our new look is here

April saw the launch of our brand-new website. When we first envisioned this project, we had a clear goal in mind; to build a unique user journey and brand-centric showcase of everything that we are today.

So many contracting websites are broad canvases, focused mostly on the breadth of capabilities. We wanted to pivot away from that and speak directly to our potential customers and advocates. As such, we decided to categorize our works by their setting and motivation, rather than the ‘discipline’ they call for. We feel that it is in paying very close attention to these motivations that our highest impacts are made.

We are more than just a contractor.

Projects Alert

Recent completions

The first was the former Passport Office in Victoria. Here, we undertook a full shell and core strip-out spanning over 90,000 ftÇ. The primary driver behind the works was to relieve the landlord of rates liability and support the repositioning of the building for sale. Encouragingly, we understand that the blank canvas look of the site has cultivated strong interest from the market already.

Our works were delivered in nine weeks, maintaining our benchmark pace of circa 10,000 ftÇ per week.

Elsewhere, we completed works at 110 High Holborn for our client UOL. The scope included strip-out and floor cleaning across three floors of an occupied building, alongside mechanical remedial works and additional strip-out to an associated retail unit.

2026 Audit

Certified excellence

We’re pleased to confirm that FDS has successfully achieved recertification of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, securing our accreditation for a further three years, following extensive audits from BSI.

More importantly, the assessment highlighted a consistently high level of adherence to the required standards across our operations. It’s a strong reflection of the systems we’ve built and, more critically, how they are applied day-to-day on our projects. Said compliance was found to be well ahead of industry norms.

A great result for the team and a standard we intend to keep building on as we harness modern technology, newer platforms and more detailed raw data into our everyday activity.

BCO Awards

And Shepherds Market

This April, FDS was delighted to attend the BCO Awards Lunch for the third year running.

We hosted a table of ten, joined by a great mix of PMs, QSs, and end-user clients. As always, it was an excellent afternoon, and we’d like to thank our guests for joining us – it’s something we genuinely value each year. The event itself was impeccably organised and flawlessly hosted, culminating in a fitting tribute to the late Jeremy Edwards of Arup.

Perhaps most notably, both during the event and in the pubs afterwards, there was a clear and consistent sense of optimism. The office sector feels firmly back in conversation; and increasingly, back in action.

The opportunity now is for the market to convert that sentiment into delivery, and to make the most of what feels like a genuinely positive shift in momentum following the post-COVID slowdown.
