FDS were appointed as PC to undertake the strip out and alterations package to a 208 bedroom hotel in preparation for modernization and refurbishment. Works involved validation and alteration to all MEP services to existing bedrooms, strip out of various finishes and architectural features within all bedrooms, and the full strip out of various front and back of house areas.

Having been appointed with only stage 2 drawings and with a Main Contractor due to be appointed midway through the agreed contract, FDS had to remain flexible and responsive to changing scope details. These adds and omissions to scope were dealt with quickly and accurately from both an operational and commercial standpoint.

The works were completed with a significant amount of care and protection to retained items such as carpets and lifts.
