FDS were contracted directly by a restauranteur to undertake the full strip out of a vacated premises in the heart of Fitzrovia. The building was terraced and spread its small footprint vertically across 4no floors. The previous restaurant fit-out contained much in the way of inbuilt furniture and seating meaning there was a significant amount of waste to handle. Given the restrictions of a limited footprint and strict traffic management requirements, the successful delivery of the project was underpinned by early morning collections on a daily basis. This allowed for continuity of workflow and safe access and egress for visitors and the design team throughout the works.
Due to the dated nature of the previous fit-out, areas of strip out were bench-marked and presented to the Client ahead of completion to ensure a smooth handover to an incumbent Main Contractor.
FDS also undertook service isolation works and installed a secure gated hoarding to the front of the premises.
FDS worked flexibly with the client to simplify site set-up, easing any strain during fit-out.
