FDS were contracted to fully undertake a management and works subcontract under General Demolition for BT Property.
The project represented the first in a large swathe of lease-ends between BT and their main landlord. The timescales were incredibly tight due to a late contractor appointment and a constantly evolving vacation brief.
The main works involved the partial strip out, back to landlord specification of 85,000 sqft of office space on the outskirts of Wolverhampton. All floor coverings, partitions, kitchenettes, doors, and some services were removed on each floor. The premises also had be searched for any and all tenant branding, from fire point notices to primary high-level building signage. This was removed from site and re-instated in neutral lettering.
The project was successful, and despite many changes and moving goalposts, the landlord accepted the building from BT at the prescribed hour on the prescribed date.
